The Communications Officer position is crucial to the day-to-day operations of emergency services in Goochland County. Our dispatchers handle emergency and non-emergency phone calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are responsible for dispatching Sheriff, Fire, and Rescue to any situation that may arise. Our Communication Officers are trained very well in order to handle the high stress levels that come with dispatching. They stand ready and willing to take the next phone call, whatever it may be.
